The right event management technology saves staff hours of time that could be better spent attracting attendees or sponsors to your event.

Always seeking affordable tools to increase efficiency, we have reviewed and used several event apps. In this post, we’ll talk about the benefits of an event app we use often – SCHED.

What we like about SCHED:

  • It’s very easy to learn and use (it is extremely intuitive with little to no tutorials required for basic use)
  • Their integration tools for event websites and mobile apps work very well with few, if any bugs
  • Interactive, eye-catching agendas
  • Priced well for smaller conferences and meetings

SCHED starts at $500 for a for-profit 500-person conference. They advertise special pricing for non-profits, demonstrating their focus on affordability. We have utilized a few of the features including the API – no issues integrating with the mobile apps we have used, but there is a nominal additional cost.  It is completely worth it, however, if you are short on staff and are seeking to eliminate double entry.

In addition to the features you’d expect – an interactive agenda with speaker bios, headshots and session details – SCHED offers additional elements such as allowing speakers to upload their own session information and allowing attendees to build their own agendas.  They offer a native mobile app as well and the pricing is fairly similar to comparable products on the market for a 500-person conference.

We have found their customer service to be fairly responsive and helpful in resolving questions or issues.
